Content & Branding

Building @framesbykk

A photography account I ran through high school, grown from zero into a community channel with a posting system that turned every game into shareable albums within a day.

The idea

Athletes, parents, and students want the pictures from the game, and they want them the same night. @framesbykk started in high school as a place to put them, and became a channel the community checked after every event. The account is no longer active, but it's where I learned how social media actually works.

How it ran

  • Shoot, edit, post within a day. A consistent cadence through football, basketball, wrestling, lacrosse, track, and volleyball seasons.
  • Carousel posts for the highlights, full albums in the bio. Each event gets a public Google Photos album linked from a Linktree, so anyone can find and download their own photos. Twenty-nine albums.
  • Tag everyone. Players, parents, and the school accounts were tagged, which is where most of the reach came from. The bio said it plainly: "Tag me please!!"
  • Captions that sounded like a person, not a brand, and a visual style that stayed consistent across seasons.

Results

  • 347 followers built organically, almost all from one school community, with no paid promotion.
  • Top posts reached 130 to 170 likes from a following of a few hundred, the kind of engagement rate most brand accounts would like to have.
  • Homecoming, student section, and portrait posts consistently outperformed game action, which shaped what got shot and posted.

What it taught me

Consistency beats polish. Make it easy for people to share. Watch what performs and let it change the plan. Those are the habits I bring to any account I work on now.
